Have home movies I desperately want to send to my parents halfway across the world. Googletalk file transfer has size limits. It's ok if it's slow, but is there anyway to do this without breaking up the files with compression programs? My parents will never be able to figure out how to put the files together, they have a hard time shutting down the computer.

what if you uploaded it to something like jumpcut and just kept it private and then sent a link to your parents?

Well, most "free" services like Yahoo Mail, Hotmail, And Aol Mail Have file transfer limitations of about 12 MB, but if you both download AIM Triton (A Free Instant Messenger) it offers a free file transfer service that has no size restriction, but you both must have AIM Triton not 1 and the other have an older version. It is simple and will by defualt save right to their desktop, or you can change the destination folder. Hope this helps, Brodster

use Internet Information Service (IIS) to set up an FTP server. it's very easy to set up and you can start/stop it when ever you want to share resources on the Internet

try 'pando' , but as above both sender and recipient must have the program. Free and very easy to use.
