A lot of parent and teachers have said that many of these kids disrupt the class so much that the kids that were there in the first place can't get the education they need.

but on the otherhand there are many of these inner city kids who aren't disruptive and actually want to learn

is there a solution?

I currenlty teach in a suburban school and have taught for even longer in an inner city school in Detroit. I would say based on my experiences that inner-city and suburban should not be mixed for the sake of satisying a quota or some political agenda. I find that the cultural attitudes toward education in both places are polar opposites and most inner city kids do not care about being educated and turn school into a social event, whereas suburban kids for the most part are instilled with respect (or healthy dose of fear) for their teachers in order to get ahead in life. I do agree that there are students in the inner city who deserve a better education and for that I would say allow those students with high test scores a choice in where they attend school.

Proper discipline is the answer.
It should not matter where a child is growing up. The concern is the education. Period. If a teacher an thier colleguesare doing thier jobs, there will be no disruption.
And you seem to be insinuating that inner city kids are the only ones who would be unruly. Take a look at your private schools and the offspring of wealthy familys. Seems like it's just a matter of discipline where behavior is concerned.
Your question is about behavior issues, not schools.

I believe that inner city and suburbian children should be mixed in school. It should be looked at more compared to Brown vs. Board of Education. Where separate but equal is not acceptable. Every child should have the same opportunties and rights to a quality education. There should be no exceptions nor considerations in race, ethnicity, language and economic condition. Disruptions occur in any school among any economic population. That is not an excuse to deny children the right to be exposed to peers who may be different from themselves. It is a prejudice look at the situation.

There are so many forms of discrimination that seem to exist unchecked. Children have so many bigotries that weigh upon them from economic differences to ageism. Individual children should not be discriminated on due to statistical differences. I am a suburban derivative and was by far the most destructive child at the eight schools I attended by a long way. Young students who struggle with the education system need to be individually assessed instead of punishing any other student who happens to be the same colour, religion are from the same demographic.

I went to an interracial school near the center of Los Angeles. Some did disrupt school, but those who did tend to be left behind or go to remedial class, or even dropped out or expelled. Those who want to learn ussually went to honor or advance classes. The school need to be strict in seperating the trouble maker and stop the nonsense of all students are equal. Teaching to the masses has made L.A. the joke of the education community.

nicely in my previous 'inner-city' college, we had (approxomatly) 3 pupils consistent with e book. the class techniques have been minimum, and the few instructors who certainly cared approximately us as human beings, weren't financed precise to have fueled any sort of respected education, from like third grade up. So many human beings dropped out because of the fact there grew to become into no the place to pass. and despite in case you graduated actual of your type, in a college like that schools do no longer even look at your utility because of the fact it has such low standards. and that they could't pay for college, so why pass by college, to get rejected via a college, once you could basically initiate helping your self, mom and dad, or very own kin at a job which will pay a similar. yet while funds, and attempt are positioned into those colleges, this is going to set up a well-known course, a purpose of something extra suitable.

yes. its life these things happen, but by all means they dont need to mix them. Its like mixing Lindsay Lohan and a school of Ludacris' together, bad things could happen to that certain individual. They could get mixed up in some horrible stuff, but not all inner city kids arent like that so it may or may not happen but its best to try and prevent these kind of things happening.

Every child should get the same education. If that means mixing it up, then so be it.
