Will a japanese NTSC game play in my Playstation 2?

I want to buy The King of Fighters Orochi Collection for PS2 but the only problem is that this game will only work with the Japan & Asian Version of Playstation 2 Console (NTSC-J). I checked the back of my PS2 and I only see a NTSC next to U/N. I don't know what this means. Someone please explain it to me.

it will not work,but if your ps2 is modded then u can play all ps2 game(any version) on your ps2.
*the NTSC referes to the image system on the game(your ps2 is NTSC so no problem)and if your ps2 is modded you can run even PAL games
*J referes to japan and Asian version.BUT U/N referes to USA and NORTH AMERICA.
by the way,modding means that ur ps2 modified to play copied ps2 games,and there are 2 modding ways
1-hardware modding:it is a small electronic piece will be connected to your ps2 mainboard(connected inside the ps2,no out connections or wires and u will put the game disk and play nothing else)
2-system hacking:it is a software you can use to make the ps2 modded(i think you should use this software everytimeyou want to play a game.
by these 2 methods you will play any "J" copied or original and copied also cheaper "U/N " ps2 games.
I live in egypt and my slim ps2 is PAL but i can play any game(NTSC or PAL and copied or original games,some of them are U/C which refere to USA and CANADA=U/N which refere to USA and NORTH AMERICA,I used the 1st method of modding method,it is harder but once done nothing easier than that just put the disk and have fun.this meathod needs a specialist in the ps2)
this is almost everything about ps2 and games.so if u modded your ps2 before,so u can play any game from any place in the world but if the ps2 is not modded,u will have to do that or u can just play original U/N games.
by the way,all DVD movies are the same like games.

if your PS3 is an unique 80GB or smaller then specific, the interest will nonetheless function. No assure it will be in English however. if your PS3 is between the extra contemporary slims, then no, those structures at the instant are not Backwards nicely suited and could no longer play any PS2 interest
