Yeah, and even the critics agreed by awarding "the artists" a Grammy for "Blame it on the Rain". What is truly sad is that the record execs didn't value the actual artists who performed the music because they didn't have the right "look" to be marketable so they hired two pretty boys to lip sync the songs because they were MTV material.

It is sad in this era that there are a lot of great artists that will never make it big because they don't have the right look. If you look back at many of the biggest names and talents from the 60's and early '70's, before the advent of MTV, most of them were not all that attractive but nobody cared because it was all about the music then.

Yes,I do.They didn't do anything wrong. If u remember what made them popular or being liked by us was not the song itself.Their attires, dances, body languages, their hair styles, attitudes and just them being themselves...all of these contributed to it.And all of us enjoyed that time. They were just starting out, and with the fame they were gonna launch their own trade mark (they said it too)They didn't say it was their songs. We thought it was and we still don't know to this day whose it is.Not only we sliced & diced them but we scared them too from being some kind of black Mick Jagger type.I maybe wrong but I always think that was the time for a white & black music to come closer in sounding before rap got the leads.Would u prefer a gangster like Puff Daddy singing alive with his hand u know where,or Tupac shakur or other disgracing our black images.I really do like Milli Vanilli.

Well, since it wasn't really them that was singing, I'll say no.

Speaking of Milli Vanilli, there was a funny skit about them on "In Living Color".

rob and fab were lip-syncing the songs sung by others. frank farrien, the producer, paid them to do this as the singers themselves did not have the right 'looks' to market the songs-- they were too old. being down on their luck, they took the job for the needed cash and things got out of control.

regardless, i appreciate the songs and dont have any problem with fabrice. why should anyone?

Girl you know it's true OOH OOH OOOOH I LOVE YOOOOU. How can you not like that song? Anyways I was never a fan so it didn't bother me. If alot of these singers today that lip sync all the time can get away with it so should they. Either way it's false advertisement.
