fantastic question, and the answer is yes we are. There are many peace loving Islamics in the world, but there are many war loving one's as well. 3 weeks ago a 57 year old grandmother killed herself with a bomb along with other innocent people. You can not talk peace to people like this. There are millions of people who want us dead, and will not rest until we are. and the sad fact about that is ether we die, or they die, that is the only two options. Let us hope it is them.

Keep in mind there not the same thing Nazism was a political form of government, the Nazi Party, Islam is totally different it is a religion just like the Christian religion it can't be destroyed like Nazism. A communist country can destroy the democracy within it but it can't destroy the religion, the way people believe, look at the communist party of China they can't destroy the Christian faith, just like Muslims can't Destroy the Jewish faith.

Not the same thing, and I can assure you that we did not ignore it. Remember the "lend/lease" program with the ships we sent to Great Britain? We had spies on the ground in Germany, guaranteed. After Pearl Harbor it became a moot point because by declaring war on Japan we were automatically at war with Germany, because they were allies. There are plenty of peaceful Muslims - only the extremists are dangerous. Sort of like Eric Rudolph - Christian terrorist.

You are comparing apples to oranges. Nazism was a political movement; Islam is the world's largest religion with the most adherents worldwide.

If you are trying to compare the two, there are some minute similarities (some in the Nazi power structure were fascists who tried to control society top to bottom, while in Islam societies, there are some who want all to be Muslim). However, GWB's arguments that Islam is Islamfascist is patently overstated. An analogy would be to say that since some Christians believe it is ok to bomb abortion clinics because abortions are performed that all Christians believe this. It is human nature to want to simplify complexities in our world to better understand them, but it doesn't make it fact.

Hello =)

I think we are doing absolutely everything BUT ignoring Islam.

The second part of your question is irrelevant.

Since we are engaged at war with 2 Islamic nations, and in a state of constant provocation with several others, I find it difficult to believe that anyone out there is capable of believing that anyone is "ignoring" Islam. If anything, we are exaggerating its threats, misinterpreting its messages, misunderstanding the words of a group of madmen, who are venting their socio-economic frustration with the west in vulgar ways, and hiding behind the "pillars of Islam".......

But no, we are not ignoring Islam in any way. I think perhaps we should ignore Islam to a much greater extent, like we do Hinduism and Buddhism, or at least make some attempts at understanding it, before we blame it for the atrocities of the middle east.

Namaste, and Happy Holidays,

No, rather some Western countries such as Britain are trying to prove they are liberal, non-racists and very accommodating. They are even 'wisely' proving this by fighting against their Christian tradition and heritage. But let us wait to see what Britain will turn out to be in 30 - 50 years to come.

We ignored the tyranny of Hitler, just as we're ignoring the tyranny of George W. Bush right now. Islam is nothing to be afraid of; it's a religion with a few radical zealots, no different than the radical religious wackos here in the U.S.A.
Bush, on the other hand, is a danger to this nation and to the world. In the past seventy-five years, only one of the five most desperate terrorists in the world faced true justice:
Joseph Stalin killed 10 million of his countrymen and died peacefully in his sleep;
Adolph Hitler killed 6 million Jews and other 'undesirables', then took the coward's way out and committed suicide;
Idi Amin killed 2 million people in Uganda and retired in lavish luxurious exile;
George W. Bush killed 665,000 Iraqis and 3,000 American soldiers for no justifiable reason, and has not been held accountable for his murderous actions;
Saddam Hussein was sentenced to death for killing 148 people in a small Iraqi village. He is the only one of these five despots to face a court of law.
Bush should be tried in an international tribunal for high crimes against humanity, and - if convicted - should hang right alongside Saddam Hussein. -RKO-

Great question. Yes we are. Having lived among Muslims and having discussed my Christian faith with them I have learned they have more respect for me because I believe in God even though I am to them a polytheist. They have no respect for liberals, they see them as useful fools, cool-aid drinking, pleasure seeking morons that need to be showed the sword or their form of God. What is really strange is that liberals in the USA are afraid of Jerry Falwell, what a hoot.

No, because the US is fighting two wars against Muslim nations and putting pressure on a third.

I would have to agree with that statement. But I don't want to eradicate Islam, just the extremists.
