I just want to know, oh, and how old do you have to be?

generally between 12 and 14 years old though some will never go en pointe. the strength of ankles and the shape and length of toes are taken into consideration as well as the strength and height of the arches. technique is definitely a deciding factor. i left ballet before i was put en pointe and returned at 15 im 18 now and have been en pointe for 2 years.

After 4 or five yrs of taking class, between 11 and 14 yrs old. Of course there are many other factors that are taken in consideration before a dancer can get to point in ballet.

At my last studio the age didnt matter just as long as you were in ballet for 7 years....there were also some ways around it like if you already have strong ankles. the 7 years was to prepare you for the strength you need in your ankles.

depends if u are good at it if u learn for 1 year and u are one of the best dancers in the class then u can go on pointe
and for the age i suggest older than 8

im 13 and ive been in point 4 2years. you have to be ready and my dance teacher told me im ready so you have to train. ive been training for 11 years.
