.his all depends on the outlet size of the pump and the size of the garden hose your using.
Most smaller pumps have a 3/4 OD Female outlet while most garden hoses are 5-8 ID. There are special double threaded male adapters that you can get at most any hardware stores for this. They are usually located by the garden hoses they are normally made out of brass/

Simply just take you pump and a sample of hose along to the local hardware shop or garden centre and I'm sure they will fix you up. O' and don't forget your wallet that's the thing in your back pocket in case you don't know.

Pump? are you talking about a cut end? If so you need a hose clamp avliable at most home stores and auto parts too.

If the hose is a push-on fit it will be secured by a Jubilee clip (brand name) or a worm drive clip (common name) larger hoses will be secured by a hose clamp.
