Yes indeed , the USB or Universal Serial Bus means the same and they are same throughout the world. The only thing that might change are the connectors to suit the devices like you have the smaller USB chargers for the motorola Razr phones and the little USB connector to the computer for certain digital Camcorders. Apart from them, the concept is the same and the power supply remain the same no matter wherever you are. The specs are for the 5 pin plug. >> It uses just 2 lines to transmit data in the 5 pin plug. >> one is used to shield >> One is used for a constant +5V supply which are used passively by many devices as either a source of power to run the device or as a source of power to charge the batteries of portable devices. >> One is exclusively for ground. >>As long as the computer is working fine without any problems then any device connected to the USB should not pose any problem. -->>Word of caution though if your computers power supply is not grounded properly then you risk the device being shorted and data and/or the device being corrupted. -->*** The positive point though is that in Ireland you will not have any problems as regards to power supply and grounding issues. I'v been there quite a lot and never once did i have any problem with any of my gadgets. --> So relax and you go ahead use the Mp3 player with a peace of mind and by the looks you are running a marathon i guess. Concentrate on that and good luck to win the event..

You should be able to buy a charger form the place where it was bought or look on the manual it it may tell you where a charger can be bought. I got an mp3 but charge it through comp the instructions do state where I can get a charger I will get one cos I don't like charging through usb.

Well, sometimes newer printers and computer monitors have USB ports on the back of them in addition to the actual CPU unit. You can put it into game systems such as the XBOX 360 or PS2. If it is a mp3 player such as an iPod, you can buy wall power adapters for them. Good luck..;)

Plug it into anything that has a USB port and turn it on, such as a Nintendo Wii or PlayStation 2.

Any other device where you can plug that USB cable in? (PS2, XBox, Xbox 360, PS3?)
It should work there.
Or you can get an adapter from the company or a third party adapter.

You can buy chargers which take a USB fitting and you can buy ones which will also charge USB fittings in a car cigarette lighter. Try ebay ... fairly innexpensive.
