i feel stupid asking, but every other bottle that i've had was spray on, then i got some really good stuff for christmas and i'm kind of confused on how to use it.

Use the stopper on top of the bottle to apply small amounts to your wrist, behind your earlobes, and behind your knees. These are pulse zones and everytime your pulse beats supposedly a small amount is expelled into the air. That's what the lady at Nordstrom's told me anyway.

Put your finger on the hole thingie and tip the bottle over while keeping a tight seal on the bottle and flip the bottle back over. Remove your finger and put the cologne wherever you want it. If you go to places such as wal-mart or the dollar store they have little empty squirt bottles. If you take the nozzle off of the bottle then you can place it into the cologne bottle. Even if the nozzle doesnt fit you can still use it to squirt the cologne onto you.

The traditional way would be to pour the cologne on your palm and tap your palm on your neck just before you put on your shirt. As for me, I pour the cologne into a snuff bottle (a small glass bottle that comes with a cover), turn the bottle downside up. This will allow the cologne to reach the cover, pull out the cover and tap it on your neck. This avoids wastage and your palm will not be stained with cologne.

if i were you i would feel stupid for askin this question as well... what u do is, open the bottle, place your hand on the opening, and turn bottle over, some colonge should be on your hands, rub your hands together, and proceed to rub on your neck and behind the ears, it's kinda like using aftershave, or tell me you dont use that do you??? by the by, just out of courisity, what kinda colonge is it?? rember to not put it on your shirt, i hate that on guys, and just a small tip, if you put on your perfume while your still a little damp, it last longer :)

turn the bottle upside down against your wrist.. make sure its fully covered or it will spill out
take the stuff on ye writst and apply to neck n wherever
