Check out pictures of prostate on above. The prostate is located beneath the bladder and surrounds the ureter which is the passage way of the urine from bladder to where it is released at the end of the penis. It is not inside the anus but the physician will be able to feel it by putting a finger into the anus.

the prostate is a gland that surrounds the urethra at the point where it is connected to the urinary bladder. It can be felt if you insert a finger into the anus and feel on the floor of the rectum. It will be an enlarged gland ab out the size of a walnut.
