I have 3 children and had a " light " period before each diagnosis of pregnancy.
There may be a hormonal basis for the bleeding, however, I was told that it is normal for many women. ( My mother had the same experience )
Have your wife do a blood test to be sure. The urine tests were wrong every time I used them.
Good luck!

Yes. It is possible to have a period and be pregnant. I once had a doctor tell me a few women have periods throughout their entire pregnancies. If you think it is a genuine possibility, have your wife avoid the things she would during pregnancy (until you know for sure). You can call a Crisis Pregnancy Center in your area and they should provide a free pregnancy test for you. If your wife is pregnant, they can also provide many of the things you will need for the pregnancy and the baby for free (maternity clothes, baby clothes, diapers, baby food, formula, cribs, walkers, strollers, car seats, etc. as the items are donated to them). This is not planned parenthood and is not affiliated with them. When you search for one in your area, go to ask.com - then type in crisis pregnancy centers in your state. You should get a great listing of ones to choose from. All of their services are free too! They are wonderful places with great people working there!

Many of the pregnancy symptoms can be present during a woman's period. Since the period was light and she had a lot of symptoms, I would suggest that you get a home pregnancy test. Easy and will put your mind at ease!

Women can have what is called implantation bleeding. The beginnings of a period can also mimick symptoms of pregnancy. I'd wait a couple weeks and get a test if you still suspect a pregnancy.
Good luck! I've got 4 kiddos myself. They are a blast!

Hi yes it is possible for bleeding through pregnacy I did for the time I was pregnant with my son.

I would advice though that you see a doctor to confirm the pregnacy and make sure that all is ok...I wish you luck with it and I hope all works out for the best.

Heythere! Hmm you never know it could be implantationbleeding that she is experiences, i would wait a couple days and see how light her period really is- and if it goes away shorter then usual, take a pregnancy test about 5 days after. its hard to determine pregnancy without the test...GOOD LUCK!!

my mom had 2 periods before she knew she was pregnant with me. so it is entirely possible. take a home test 2 weeks pst the day she was supposed to have a period. and have her do it first thing in the morning. if she is pregnant, the hcg will be strongest then. good luck.

From what I understand; it is very possible to have a light period your first cycle after becoming pregnant. And then there are RARE cases where we have light cycles for their entire pregnancy. Wait a month and see what happens...

Very ! I would recommend a blood draw...... HPT ( home pregnancy test) sometimes aren't reliable....... Could be implantation bleeding...... The egg attaching to the uterus.....That will cause a light period sometimes
