How do you think? There were only them around.
Shouldn't this be in the religion section?
Edit: Adam and Eve and their children lived for centuries. The Bible doesn't make reference to all of the children Adam and Eve had, or to all of the places the children migrated to and villages they formed. The people in the other lands were the offspring of Adam and Eve, they weren't new people God had made.

Adam & Eve had 2 sons but no daughters so perhaps incest was an everyday thing then as well.
I am not being disrespectful just basing this on the Old Testament writings. Or, were women marginalised then as well so no mention of Eve's daughter.
Any way, Moses did not know how we came to exist so he devised the Eden story which was pertinent for the knowledge of the times. Don't forget that ancient religion needed followers so great claims of miracles and super human powers were used to attract the simple minded. My God is better than your God type of thing.

Adam and Eve did not exist, they were a way to 2500 years ago to explain the unknown. People are and always will be afraid of the unknown so we create things to cover over the gaps. Reincarnation and Heaven are another two examples of this, we need something to believe in to give us hope, to stop us curling up in a ball afraid of everything and thinking we may die soon. Adam and Eve covered over the gaps of the unknown evolution of man and how the earth was created.

By having sex just like Adam and Eve did. Cain found his wife in the land of Nod. So God must have made other people besides of Adam and Eve. After all It would not be that hard for him to do!

Maybe God created more people as these "children" grew up. We only know that Adam and Eve were the first people on earth. But it doesn't mean that God only created them two.

Well they had a lot of children and at that time the bloodline was not corrupt. Those children also, had to marry each other-brothers and sisters. Sexual abuse wasn't the thing back then, having many wives, mating with the Nephilim, being gay, and pagan worship (temple whores who got pregnant and bore children to sacrifice them-burn them to pagan god's) was the sexual sin's back thenfor the flood. then the tower of babel came along and God made allkinds of differant people, and created races.

Adam and Eve were not the only people on earth at that time, think a big world and they were the only ones in it not possible.
This is how it is portrayed and to me if it was true then to populate then they would have to well use your imagination.

In the old testament, when yahweh found that cain murdered his brother, he wandered to a city called nod that was east of eden.
Perhaps he had some children from nod?
