Jim Webb is a war hero from the same war that produced other war heroes such as John McCain and John Kerry. This was the same war the George W. Bush, Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld avoided. The war begun under Eisenhower was significantly exacerbated by Johnson and Nixon, and we learned much about the unintended consequences of an ill advised war. For this reason Jim Webb is one of many who oppose the current war in Iraq.

That has already started the day exceeded by replaced right into a question which went some thing like "Does Jim Webb seem as if a deserter to you? Does he seem as if he'd go away his comrades to die in conflict? hats how he seems to me" i love it at the same time as those with out military experience in any respect experience qualified to say some thing about ANY conflict veteran, no matter if its Webb, Kerry or John McCain. If youll save in options Bush's "push-pollers" defamed John McCain in S. Carolina, calling ability electorate and asking them in the experience that they'd vote for McCain in the experience that they knew he had fathered a black toddler out of wedlock (that's punctiliously fake, the McCain's toddler replaced into followed, neither of his genes nor Ms McCains), for sure non secular electorate were horrified and Bush received the SC widely used extremely. And for the "Hawks" in right here, the position replaced into this military fervor over Bush's TX Air nationwide preserve service? Our Commander in chief is a Deserter in a Time of conflict, undeniable and easy, yet why do not one of the Neo Con professional conflict "Hawks" carry THAT up? extra "compassionate" conservative hypocracy.

So, are you saying that anyone who fought in Vietnam does not have the right to criticize the Iraq policy of Bush? Do you even have a passing acquaintance with logical thinking?

The Vietnam conflict has dated back to Einsenhower. JFK was responsible too and LBJ's administration broke it out. He criticizes Bush for bad stragegic planning because he believes it is leaving the country vulnerable to other attacks and not taking care of other potential terrorist countries. Webb is looking at it from a military viewpoint like the generals at the hearings were.

I've answered three questions from you on the same topic. What is with your obsession with this guy? And by the way, millions of children did not die in the Viet Nam war. If you don't get your facts right, you come across as looking ignorant of the facts, because you are ignorant of the facts.

That's OK, he defeated " Macaca" and helped tip the balance to the Dems. Let him criticize Bush for Iraq and a HOST of other things besides.

Please get your facts straight!
Dwight Eisenhower inserted US military advisors! My father was one! LBJ committed US combat troops based on the manufactured Gulf of Tonkin Resolution which all you Republicans voted for!
Little difference though in fighting communism in a war that we did not unilaterally and illegally invade a sovereign nation without being attacked, and invited in at the request of the South Vietnamese! Far different than going to war over oil!
