Yes I was. How sad especially on Christmas Day! So sad to lose an extremely talented artist who could dance like no other. He made some of the funkiest if not the funkiest music ever. R.I.P. Godfather Of Soul! You'll be missed!

Yes I was very shocked, what a way to put a huge damper in your Christmas. My prayers go out to all of his family, friends, and fans. There will never be another artist like the Godfather of Soul.

The God Father Of Soul! Very sad for me he was still touring at the age of 73, he was in the middle of a tour when he was taken to the hospital. I hope i could move like that at the age of 73. PAPPAS GOT A BRAND NEW BAG!

yes and it was so sad he died on Christmas. i guess he would have died soon anyways since he was 73 but it is still shocking.
