It doesn't surprise me one bit. So far in the past week or so, I've received 2 violations. AND, I was asking the same questions that others have asked. I'm sure Yahoo! didn't like the emails I sent back to them.
They aren't going to like this either:

It could well happen... I was on the forum for something else yesterday and saw spit flying everywhere about the 'Merry Christmas' thing... for Pete's Sake...
I just submitted a question that didn't post... so I'll be waiting for tomorrow am... oh SNAP!

Maybe because it's called Yahoo Answers and not Yahoo Message Board.
In fact, when you go to report someone, you see "personal chats and communications" or something very similar. You should get the point from this alone.

I am voting thumbs up on the resolved questions. I think I did about 60 of them so far. It's not much, but it gives other users a point. Maybe it'll add up and restore some of these deleted points for people.

I have seen where people have said they got violations for wishing Happy Holidays.

I got reported for asking Christians if they would be offended if someone wished them Happy Hannaka (sp.) or Happy Kwanza>
