If someone broke into your home, could you shoot them?
I do not think I could, I would be too scared of killing someone, even a bad person.

I would try to shoot him/her in the leg, so that I don't do so much damage as to kill them... I know what you mean though, I thought the same thing. I think I might just shoot a bullet near them to scare them away...

I could shoot 'em, but not to kill them. I'd aim for the stomach or an extremity and call 911 for an ambulance first.

I believe you can shoot a criminal idiot in your own home who broke in and is trying to hurt your dog. I believe when it comes to defending your wife, kids or dog, you can shoot someone without worrying about them being hurt. They should have worried about that before they broke in.

If I would be in physical danger, yes I could and I certainly would. If it would be something like "Give me your money!", I'd give the money and let him go away, then call the police... only in self-defense I would shoot at him!

if someone broke into your home you have the rights to bear arms, and yes i would shoot somebody if they broke into my house and tried to harm me or any of my family members

Yes, with my bare hands and wouldn't give it a second thought. No one has the right to walk in my home and take my hard earned belongings.

well if someone broke into my house i could shoot them b/c they are on my property but i am not sure if i could handle it or not...but i hope it dont happen in the future!!

Only if someone else was in the house with me. I would protect them, & yes then I could.
