The bugs are fruit flies (or gnats). They come in on ripe fruits (your bananas).

The best way to get rid of them is fill a coffee cup about 1/4 full of apple cider vinegar and place them close to where you see them and in a couple of days when you look inside the cups you will see they are filled with the dead flies.

What you have are fruit flys, not gnats. They lay their eggs near the surface of rotting foods or other moist, organic materials such as mops, cleaning rags, or in drains and garbage disposals. Once the tiny larvae emerge, they feed near the surface of the fermenting material. A female fly can lay about 500 eggs. The entire lifecycle from egg to adult can be completed in one week. Sounds yummy, eh??

You must live where it doen't get too cold for them. Have the same problem and don't have bananas. They get in when you are opening and closing the doors. (going in and out).

Best way I found to control them is with Raid Flogger.
