well, it really depends how you use your notebook, mainly on gaming? mainly on graphic? or what? for Hp dv6000, there are 4-5 different models available, you can choose either AMD or INTEL. so u got more choice. okay, now for me, I have a desktop at home, which is Windows, and I have a notebook that i bring to college while i have free time or taking notes in class. i don't play game at all. in this case, i would go for macbook even though my laptop is windows (no budge), because that is a great try since i used windows for N years. But if you are living at campus, this is the laptop you are going to work everything on it, then think about it. i personally love mac a lot, i am boring with windows, i used it for a long time, i am tired of that look already, but also i have to say i am more familiar with windows isn't it? I know all of the macbook fans will say:" anything you can do on windows, you can also do it on a mac." i 100% believe it, but i am not sure i can really do it. so as i said above, i have a desktop at home, my notebook is just for entertainment, i got plenty of time to figure out how to play the mac deeply, if budge is not a problem, my laptop is macbook for sure! So, think about it, did u ever try a macbook? feel control it is like a piece of cake? then just go for it. it also got way less virus problem than windows!

If you like OS X, get the Macbook. You can install XP on them along with OS X now, so you can still run all your Windows software.
