It's connected to wireless but I can't get on the internet. I tried connecting it to the router directly and it says it was connected but I still can't get internet......... PLEASE HELP!

First of all, check whether you can connect to the internet by connecting your computer directly (with a wire) to your modem. If there's no problem, then try the following:
1) After you get your computer connected to your router (i.e. wireless network), it doesn't mean you are connected to the internet.
2) After connecting to your wireless network, you would then have to connect to the internet through your internet service provider as if you were connecting your computer directly (through a wire) to your modem.
3) you wouldn't have to do step 2 if you have already set up your router so as to automatically connect to the internet once your computer connects to the wireless network.
4) try to re-install your router and make sure to follow the instructions provided.
5) if the proble still persist, then you should contact either the person who sold you the router, or the company manufacturing the router.

If you're connected to your neighbor's connection then you probably need a password or a key.

Go to a good Hot Spot and see what happens.

go to START > RUN > type in cmd
at the command prompt type in ipconfig /all
see if you are getting an IP address from the DHCP server and start troubleshooting from there..
