First look in the owners manual to see if it has a fuse. Then check the cruise control cable and make sure it is attached. Does the cruise light come on when you turn the switch on?
Is the cruise vacuum or servo controlled? Check vacuum lines.
Bad switch would be the next thing to look at.
Good luck

Check the vacuum control line it will come out of the back of the unit if this line gets kinked or falls off, your cruise and other accessories wont work. You could also check the cable that runs from the cruise control unit to the throttle body it could be jammed. Or the last places that I would check are your fuses switches and the wires that go to the cruise control actuator.
