If you're on your period, and you have a shower, wouldn't it be odd, having blood trickling down your legs? (Sorry if I'm being crude) I was just wondering

Well, I wouldn't say it's odd. It doesn't always do that for all women. It depends on how bad you bleed. If I'm having a really heavy flow then yeah sometimes it will some when I get in the shower but it's not much. It's not like I've been stabbed several times in my crotch or anything. I will say that when I'm on mine I prefer a shower to a bath. I won't take a bath because then you're getting blood in your bath water. YUCK~

I wouldn't use a tampon while having a period - in the shower. It's good to get everything as clean as possible.
If you bleed down your legs, then just wash up and clean out the shower.
The shower will also help with any cramps you may have.
Good luck

You don't have to be disgusting by blood. When I,m on my period, I always shower and it never disturbed me this much.Sometimes it's a little messy when I get out of the shower. I have to put a towel between my legs but in the shower, the blood gets washed away. It's your decision but for me, it's not an obstacle to get shower at all.

You gotta get clean somehow. Showering daily for a woman who is menstruating is very important. Besides, water almost always slows the flow if not stops it completely. I don't understand why anyone wouldn't shower during this time. Any drips are just going to go down the drain anyway.

Well, if your'e very uncomfortable with it, just use a tampon. Personally, i don't think there is any problem with taking a shower whilst your'e on, just get in and shower how you normally would. Trust me, not that much comes out, and even if a bit does, don't worry, just carry on showering, and then get out, dry yourself and put a clean pad back on. Really, its nothing to worry about. =)

It usually doesn't trickle that much. But you can wear a tampon in the shower.

i know this know i know this one omg i know this one

you either shove a tampon in or if you live in springfeild oregon you use a sock.

or

you just let it trickle a lil bit and clean it out i hear it makes you feel better to clean it while on your period when in the shower so you feel less dirty.

why would it be odd i mean your cleaning yourself it will go down the drain anyway.

I take baths and for me in the water, no blood comes out. Maybe a little but in the water it stops. (at least for me) I would say baths instead of showers during your period.

better than taking a bath! Like to take showers more often when Aunt Flo is visiting.

I wondered the same thing before I got my period. Its not really a big deal and you don't even notice unless its really heavy, but it just gets washed down the drain.
