I think it is so commercialized that anything to do with the original holiday is lost in the vast amount of Greed and Commercialism. I could totally forgo Christmas and never celebrate it again...at least as we know it. I'd go back to a true Yule Celebration in a heart beat.
Why should I spend $1000's of dollars at one time of the year when I could do little things through out the year and have them mean more?

Well first of all I am a Christian and ( Christ - mas ) is not even a Christian Holy Day. It is a worldly holiday that has everything to do with making money and absolutely nothing to do with the savior Yeshua or as you would know him Jesus. Nobody and I do mean nobody can show you in the bible where anyone ever celebrated Christ - mas or Santa Clause. We did not get this holiday or easter from the example of the Apostles or any other of Jesus' followers, but don't take my word for it look into it yourself We should celebrate Holy Days not holidays.

I think it is WAY to commercialized, but as far as being over rated, no. If you truly know and believe what Christmas stands for, then there is no way that it can be over rated. I do think that it has gotten way out of control with comercialization on, placing the focus on the wrong things.

OH HEAVENS ! THERES NOTHING WRONG WITH YOU CHRISTMAS IS OVER RATED AND CAUSES A LOT OF INDEBTEDNESS AND FINANCIAL STRESS AND MANY FAMILIES GO ON THE ROCKS BECAUSE OF IT.
