I think that that observation will one day prove to be a myth. As more women get higher educations the numbers will even out.
Personally I believe in some psychic phenomena, I will occassionally read my chinese horoscope, and I'm amused by smooth talkers - I won't buy the product, but they can be entertaining.
It's all just people, man.

Is that based on personal observation or did you read a study?
I think it's probably pretty even gender wise. People are looking for answers. Sometimes when there are none. The Buddhists study koans. Riddles for which there is no answer. That's the point. Sometimes there is no rhyme or reason so don't waste energy trying to know the unknowable. Everyone is susceptible to cons of one kind or another. They want to live their ideals. When someone tells them what they want to hear they believe it because they want to believe it. I wonder if women really are more prone to this. Anyone know of any reliable studies?

The only part of that question I can make a comment about is the vulnerability to smooth talking (in my case beautiful ladies). They have always been able to pretty much lead me around like a pup. This in spite of my training to resist the female spy. Lucky thing I never actually encountered one (that I know of).

Because it is fact women think more and have a lot of intelligence. We want to find the meaning of things and understand them better so we can make it through the world.
We are not vulnerable that is a bit to harsh to say. We just want to know the meaning of things and learn much as we can.

Not all are.

Not nearly as many as men are to women -- a lot of guys will do, say, or think anything they're asked to, if they think it'll get them laid.

At least most women know which organ to think with.

Depends upon the woman, but I believe it could be the " Prince in Shining White Armour Syndrome". Women in general are always looking for their "prince in shining armor" to come on his white steed and swoop them off their feet.
It's a man's job in general to be that "shining knight in armor" yes whether he likes it or not, that is one of his roles in life. He can choose whether or not to follow it.

Because women are emotionally weaker and unrealistic about the world. Many of them believe in angels, ghosts, magic and leprechauns.

I think since we are more emotional, we are in tuned to learning the depth, meaning and purpose of things. I personally would love knowing "why" things are the way they are.
