O.K., here's the situation:
I have just downloaded the Simpsons episode "Homer's Enemy" onto my computer from a uTorrent system. Now, I have a Windows Media Player 11 if that's important. I'm trying to make a video called "The Unforgiven: The Frank Grimes Story" using "Homer's Enemy" and the Unforgiven by Metallica. Now, I try to upload the video, but it says I need to install some kind of codec. Does anyone know the website I need to find?

I just solved a problem on my video codecs a few hours ago. Just to make things easy and organize, what I did is I uninstall all my codecs ( I had about 5 of them, lol). For that, you just go to Control Panel>Add/Remobe Program and select all the codecs you in your program list and uninstall it.

Step 2, is to go to Free Codecs side (the link I pasted below) and download the 3.43 MB BASIC one. Once you install it, just to make sure things go smoothly, pls restart your computer.

After you restarted your computer, you should see a 'new installed program' in your start menu. From all programs, go to K-lite Codec Pack>ToolsYou can go to either;

1) Codec Tweak tool (to check broken cidecs and so forth)

or

2) GS Spot Codec Information. I found this useful cos you can check which codec do you need for your video/audio file.

Good luck!

Download Media Player Clasic. Contains all the codecs necessary.

Search for it in google, it's free.
