That's me. I'm lonely in a crowded room of family & friends. Everyone is happy & I somehow pretend to be, but I feel lonely. There's a difference in being alone & feeling lonely. It's not the same thing. Feeling that way is hard to explain to someone that has never felt that way. They usually will say, "Yeah, I'm alone a lot." They're alone but they're not lonely. Feeling that way is usually a sign of depression...at least it is with me~

last year I partied with friends, this year I'm chillin out. I don't really feel lonely just because it doesn't feel like Christmas. It's weird though because Christmas used to be my favorite holiday when I was a kid, now, I kinda dread it because it makes me sad.

yes, pretty much...but I'm made this way. Past experiences has made me feel safer this way... It's sad, but oh well. I dreamed a dream, and now it's over, and never will be again.
