You would have to nuke all of the major capitals on the same day at the same precise time. Of course if you have twenty years or so you could start a small revolution a couple countries at a time. The easiest method would be killing off the planet while you take a brief visit to the space station. The proper method of rebuilding could be done with select gene pool created from selected individuals. So to achieve control over humanity you almost have to eliminate it. Now that you have control and you want to rebuild it you just have to hope you have enough good specimen to ward off disease. Another method of world domination could be done by convincing the world that you have the best solution for saving mankind peacefully. Since everyone listens to you all of the wars disappear over night and new social structures are built without greed. Under the new law all of the workers that work hard are granted a decent chance in the system. Lazy, stupid or just plain useless people will be sent to school for the rest of their lives. Everyone will work, even the wealthy and the system will take care of the elderly and the homeless.

You should start by taking over a city, so you can practice on something of manageable size. Once the city is under your control, build up an army of its citizens and move on to other cities, then countries, and eventually, the world will be yours.

Get some marketable skills. Earn money, make connections, control the media, run for senator, take over the congress, run for president, run for head of World Bank. Job done.
