Why doesn't Israel get more respect?

It's the only true democracy in the Middle East. In fact, it's the only democracy there, period. What does that tell you about
a.) Israel and its priorities and ideals, and
b.) Its neighbors' priorities and ideals?

In Israel, you can see scantily clad beautiful girls, drink beer, listen to any music you like, dress however you like, think for yourself, worship any God (or no God at all), take part in fantastic hedonistic nightlife like in any Western country, enjoy a free press, etc., etc., etc. Yet the Israelis are almost always portrayed as 'the bad guys', while their neighbors, who for whatever reason ALLOW and ENJOY life under oppressive regimes where simply stated you cannot live as you'd like if you don't agree with extremist Islamic views, are seen as the 'poor little victims'. It is a FACT that poor treatment of women exists in Arabic countries, little or no freedom of choice (slightly more so in a few of the countries, but still hardly any, really), and backwardness.

Israel cares for its own existence than any respect from the Islamic or the christian world. That small nation proves to me that in the matter of survival no compromise can be made to gain any public opinion. I wish countries like USA and India learn the self respect from this brave nation.

if one finds general poverty in the other middle east countries , its understandable because they actually are poor economies.
but israel is a rich country , yet the majority are poor .

you just contradicted yourself , because you stated that (life in israel is just like any other western country) heres the contradiction : ISRAEL IS A MIDDLE EAST COUNTRY , NOT A WESTERN COUNTRY !
so if life is like western life in israel , its because most of the citizens ARE WESTERN ! if they are originally not from this area of the world , and they fight with people who are indigenous to this part of the world , who is the victim then ? who is the aggressor?

the only democracy ? free press ? are you really so naive to believe that the people really rule in israel , or in the states for that matter ?do you really believe the government has NO HAND WHATSOEVER in the press?

Ok first the Israelites stole Palestine from the Muslims. Second Israel didn't even get recognized as a state until 60 years ago. Third Muslim women are not oppressed. Women need to be protected. There are tons of dangers out there for women if they go out alone without their father or husband. Like they can be kidnapped, raped, mugged, beaten, forced into prostitution, and killed. That is why these Shariah Laws are in place to protect the women from these dangers. And yes it is a fact that Israel did not get recognized as a state or even come into existence until 60 years ago after the Arab-Israeli war.

granted everything you say is true, but there are still some problems.

Injustices have been done on both sides. And the only way to fix them is for both sides to make a deal.

and the only way that is going to happen is when both sides want peace.
