15mins at a time, you can do this throughout the day or you can do this each day! Once you decided on an area to start (usally the one that bugs you the most!) do 15 mins on it....have a break and then do another 15 mins or you can do it on a daily basis until the room is clean.....MAINTAINCE 15 mins a day makes all the diffrence!
Can you burn music on a disc? Play your favorite tunes on the stereo when you are cleaning make sure it is upbeat positive music that you find yourself bopping along to no matter where you hear it..I find that is the best to help get you into the mood of cleaning!

Turn on your favorite tunes and dance and clean at the same time. Or, sometimes I turn on a timer for 20 or 30 minutes and just see what I can get done in that amount of time. By the time it rings-I'm good to keep going. Getting started is the hardest part. I'm in the same boat. My entire house has been wrecked from our Christmas celebration this morning. If all else fails-we'll have a race! Happy Cleaning!!

Get HELP! There are no real "fun" ways to clean. It only makes it fun if you have something there you like to hang out with, do or hear. Try to get someone to assist you and talk to them while you are doing it. It will make the time pass much more quickly. Of course the music thing is good too if no one will help you at all.

1. Your favorite upbeat tunes.
2. Do the room in sections. Finish one section before moving on to the next.
3. Focus on fun, but get it done.

what I do is turn on some music that I really like. It gets me in a better mood and I actually clean faster. Start with the big projects, like picking up clothes then move to smaller things. dust then vacuum, then relax.

play beat the clock. Take a look at the mess, set a plan of action, set the timer for one hour and try to get it all picked up and spiffy before your time is up.
have a nice little treat in mind if you succeed.
