That was quite some time ago. I would think that it has been erased from your criminal history, though I don't know how long a felony charge stays in your history. Since it was almost ten years ago, I would not mention it on your application or bring it up during an interview. If they don't ask you about it on an interview, don't volunteer the information. If the application is specific about the time frame (i.e. within the last five years), then of course, you don't have to put it down - it was over five years ago. That, of course, is just an example. Good luck and best of success to you.

What type of crime did you commit? Would your actions be a concern to a new employer?
Honesty is always the best policy in the long run. I worked at this place and we had a great supervisor. Everybody loved this guy, and we looked forward to coming to work. He was in his early forties, and most of us there in our thirties.

One day we came to work and his office was dark. We ask what happen to Mr C? The owner said he lied on his application, and you will have to ask him the details.

Someone called him at home, and he said that the insurance company would issue a liability bond because of his past actions. He broke into someone house and took several items when he was in his twenty's. One of the questions on the application was have you ever been arrested? He lied so the owner fired him . We worked for a company that had allots of electronic equipment.

In the box where it asks if you have an felony charges write in "see me" or "will explain in person" something like that. That way they will usually call you in for an interview and you can expain the circumstances. What you learned why you won't do it again blah blah blah you know the drill. Good luck and practice what your going to say before you go in there. Have fun.
