My mom is getting me a pet turtle for Christmas. Obviously not today because everythings closed but maybe tomorrow. I am totally not ready! Can someone help me! Tell me what I need and what type of turtle I should get. And anything else that anyone knows about turtles, please tell me! Thank you SO much!

they need a small tank. they have to have a resting spot, like a rock {which must be above the water line. Turtles like to dry off sometimes} and they get really tired of swimming. Also loads of freshwater plants help if the turtles want a snack. the tank must also have a filter, which will make cleaning more easier as they poo alot. and turtles like live food. such as feeder fish or blood worms. they like to swim and chase the fish. good luck and merry christmas

slider turtle...they are great...10 gal tank ...some small stones and atleast one large one... 1/4 of a tank of water so they can swim and be on the large stone. anyhing else would not be needed unless you wanted to make the tank cute for looks..
