Awww.... they still make those??? I used to have one when I was younger, and I used to put him in sleep mode. It never paused it, it just allowed it to sleep and not wake you up in the middle of the night. I guess you can still put it in sleep mode....It's been a long time since I have had one. I have never encountered one with a pause but just in case yours has one, i think it defeats the purpose of handling it. Owning a tamagotchi should teach you resposibility and discipline and some decision making. If you're not really into it then i guess yours is the option.

I had one years ago when i was 14 and mines went to sleep when i went to sleep but i used to put it on pause when it wasnt ready to go to sleep so it wouldnt die!
