Can you NOT get pregnate if your boyfriend is drunk off his @$$?

So this girl in my speech class clames that she went to a Docter when she thought she was pregnate and the doc told her that t was ok to have unsafe sex as long as her boyfriend was drunk, because that lowered his sperm count. I tried to tell her this isnt true but she DOSENT BELIVE ME! Please help!

Tell this girl to wake up to reality! I don't care now drunk a man is, he still can make a woman pregnant! OK, drinking might cause a lowering of their sperm count, but I know personally of several drunk/alcoholics who have fathered babies.
If she keeps beliving that they can't she is going be very sorry if she has unprotected sex, which she should be having anyway with AIDS etc. BE SAFE, NOT SORRY!

hey, can you remind your friend that it only takes one sperm to make a girl pregnant, not a zillion, not ten but one ! So even if let's say alcohol lowered sperm count, there is still some sperm left so it's 100 % possible she gets pregnant even though. So what the doctor said is wrong infos and I'm really sorry she had to go through something like that. Were it me, I wouldn't go see this doctor again and I would report him. It,s not okay on his part to give wrong infos at all !

This doctor is absolutly WRONG. There is absolutly a chance of getting pregnant while your bf is pregnant. It may be true that the sperm count is lowered but it doesn't make a man infertile. I can't believe a doctor would EVER say that. If you don't want to get pregnant, use some type of protection!

Yeah tell this to the women who go out get drunk at the bars then go home with some guy at the bar... They always seem to end up pregnant, but everyone was trashed... It almost seems that the women will have a better chance to get pregnant when both people are drunk.

Being punch drunk can either lower your sperm count or not have an erection at all or too drunk even to pull down his underwear to have sex. So I think it's true that drunk as a skunk SOB's can not impregnate a woman.

It is of course not true. Being drunk has no direct relation to the sperm count.
The only ”hope” I would count on is that if he is really as drunk as you say he was, he wouldn’t be able to make love anymore.
Not much of a comfort booster, I’m afraid.

No, this isn't true. The amount of alcohol he drank that night won't kill the sperm that was stored and ready to go. In fact, it seems to me that it would be even more of a risk because his reflexes are slower. If he's an alcoholic, maybe eventually it'll reduce his sperm count....but that'll take time...and not over one weekend. Best of luck to you.

Maybe it is true that the sperm count is lower, but there is still sperm. All it takes is one to impregnate a girl. Why a doctor would say that I HAVE NO IDEA.

Seems like your friend is naive and her Doc is a few fries short of a happy meal. You can take birth control pills, sleep with drunk man, use condom and spermicidal foam and pull out before ejaculation and STILL get pregnant. Abstinence is the only fool-proof method of birth control.

I know for a fact that aint true, I got pregnaunt with my son, and me and his dad were both pastered, If it was that easy not to get prenaunt I dont think we would have as many people in this world, she really needs to get a seacond opinion, and she should grow up and not even listen to something so nonsense.
