I just traded a Nintendo NES for a sax and I really want to know how to play it. When I press the different keys, it never changes the note. Do you change the note with the position of your mouth? I play violin, so I have no idea what to do.

You change the note with the keys. I recommend going to Art's Music (or another music shop) and getting a beginner level sax book with a fingering chart in it (this means it shows you how to play the different notes). Just ask a salesperson...they'll know what you're talking about!

You have to press the top key for left hand to hit any other notes. Go to a music store and get a sax book in E flat. I assume you recieved an Atlo sax.

The saxophone is quite difficult to learn yourself, but the basics are this. Make sure you attach the reed correctly. If is sticks out too much or is too far in, you can either damage the reed or the saxophone won't make nice sounds (screeching and roaring and stuff). Also make sure the reed is wet. Then, put your lower lip over your teeth and then cover your mouth over about half the mouthpiece. Everyone's a little different, so experiment. If you blow, you should be able to make a deep sound. I suggest looking online to find more saxophone tutorials.
