Maybe today's women and children are being listened to more because of the ones who suffered in the past that were not believed. When I was a child a man could beat or rape his wife and the cops would seldom do anything about it. Anyone could rape a woman with an imperfect reputation and it wouldn't be prosecuted. Kids who were molested and spoke up were told to stop making up stories. It has now gone to the opposite extreme. We can not make up for what happened to them by unconditionally believing all supposed victims now. This just creates more true victims, men, women, and children.
I have noticed that my young children are being taught about molestation in school. Good touch, bad touch. In great details, complete with who to tell. I don't know if that's a good thing, as I've read the materials and it even confuses me. Is everything inappropriate now? Should I stop hugging my kids or helping them dress for fear of confusing them or being sent to jail? And would they prosecute someone who really did hurt them? This whole world has gone nuts.

I agree with you that this is messed up. It's unfair that a woman making up a rape will get believed and then there are other who report rape and the victim never gets taken to court. But it is a very hard case when brought to court because there is a lot of proof that cannot be proven. Like for example, there was a news story recently near where I live about a girl that reported a gang rape to the police and the men were arrested, but where later proven innocent and that it was consensual and they have her on video tape. Kinda sick huh? You can mess a person's life up by accusing them of something they didn't do. And people (not only girls) know it. I also have a friend who was accused of beating up his friend, when really he threw something and accidently hit him (not on purpose) without even injuring him at all. (No broken bones, a little scrathc) and then brought him to court. SO stupid.

because the toddler is 3, one element you may do is take the toddler to a baby psychological health service to have a face-to-face evaluation. The therapist can get information about what you've been actual instructed, and recommend you procedures to proceed. The therapist will be attentive to the regulations on your state or maybe if duty there is to record the precedence. circumstances like this would nicely be very scary for human beings. a specialist 2d opinion can help ease a number of your man or woman pressure. You seem truly ambivalent to no matter if to suspect this relative or not. there is not any thanks to make certain out of your writing if the toddler actual accused the relative you describe. that's why i'm not recommending police/keeping amenities involvement at the moment. good success with this.

That is really sad & I somewhat agree with your post. Society favors women in some aspects for example if a women says she was raped, the police would take serious action, but if a man were to make the same report it would be a big joke or tossed aside.

There was a man in my home town who spent jail time because his own daughter called the cops on him... she was a trouble maker and had gotten in a lot of messes... he would not let her at 14, go to a co-ed sleepover of 14 15 16 yr olds... which other oarents alowed no less... finaly a couple girls who knew her went to the cops and testified that they had heard her bragging on how she had "gotten" her father back. The charges were dropped but it cost him a small fortune in legal fees.... the girl in now a drug burnout who can not take care of herself and shacks with whoever will let her for certain "favors"

Yes I think that is stupid and no I didn't heear about that. I do think USA society favors women more than men because in the case of all the teacher sex scandels between woman teachers and male students you hardly ever see female teachers in jail for having sex with their students. Which makes me sick. It seems like the USA government is saying it's ok for a woman teacher to get pregnant by her male students and have relationships with them but it's not ok for a male teacher to have sex with female students. The USA needs to stop being bigots and treat male teachers and female teachers who have sex with their students the same and not let female teachers off just because their women.

I remember hearing about this. I think usually the females are believed which I feel is really wrong. I am a teacher and it is VERY important for male teachers NEVER to be alone with a student. No teacher should be alone with a student, but males are more at risk.
And people who are really raped and abused, I feel for them if they are not believed. It is truly sad.

I think that all accusations of a crime that is of a sexual nature, the identity's of everybody involved should not be disclosed untill a verdict is reached. That way if the verdict is found not guilty, or found to be made up or dropped that way the defendant's life is not ruined.

thank goodness for surveilance cameras, the computer cams, stunn guns, and dye packets, for lie detector tests, for dna testing, etc. So many good men who have done nothing have been jailed for quite a length of time when they haven't done wrong. When you say about those who really have been physically abused aren't believed perhaps it's the lifestyle they lead, or for one reason or another they have not become responsible adults so they have nothing to hold on to in life, no religious belief and morals.
