I also am never cold (male, aged 56). Years ago I read a Tennessee Williams play in which one character says that a man's body temperature is sometimes the same as that of a dog (2 degrees higher). EVERY woman i know feels the cold. I work in a home for elderly people and it is always too hot (for me) but the female residents will close all doors, windows, etc because they say they are 'freezing'. I have the advantage though - I can sit and hold their hands (they all have Alzheimers) and they feel warm and comforted and (as far as I can tell) happy. So it is a plus! Make the most of it. I keep my wife warm at night, when we were younger I kept the kids warm at night. Only drawback is that I need to shower twice a day! Barry.

I wish I didn't get cold like that. But we all have different systems and some people are more prone to being warm and other need lots of heat. I like the heat in the winter, but can't sleep in a heated bedroom. Also as we get older we find that we can not take the changes in temperature like we used to. So most likely you do have a genetic variance, but I wouldn't call it a "defect" and don't worry your not going to turn into a X-person.

There is a condition which can cause you not to feel the cold and that is if you a high hystamine producer. There's a down side to that because it predisposes you to arthritis later in life.
It might be a good idea to get yourself checked out by a qualified nutritionist. They can tell you if that actually is the case with you and, if so, what you can do about it.
Happy Christmas,

Either your metabolism is really fast, or u r a very healthy person, check ur diet out, u might be eating fatty foods, or alternatively you have a hyperthyroid, i think the best shot would be to get an appointment for the doctor and get yourself checked out.

You could have a higher resting body temp than average. My 2 year old grandson is that way when I put him down for a nap he likes me to lay down with him and read a story to him so he can go to sleep when I get up if he has laid against me my clothes are wet where he has sweated. All he wears to sleep in are his pull-up and pj bottoms.

well, your hands are warm due to blood coming to the surface...perhaps its something to do with active hands etc...the same reason why body parts get hot after or during sport/physical activity

Maybe you should see a doctor and get an exam. Get your thyroid tested.
