I don't really have money or time for special classes, but how can I do better on critical reading and math?

I didn't have the money either, so I got the collegeboard book, and took out the kaplan book from the library. i did 2-3 practice sections a night, for a few weeks (in the collegeboard book) and i read all the sections in both books.
focus on math and critical reading, because most colleges barely care about the writing since it's farely new. study vocabulary, and if u read alot that's a big advantage. if not, try to learn like 5 words a day- or however many you can.
I took the test and got a 1290(out of 1600) the first time, and then i did this and went up to a 1420. Good Luck!

If you take a course from www.kaplan.com they have a high score guarantee. That way, you only need to take the test once. It will save you time in the long run.

Know the answers from the previous tests that you have taken.

Do more of the practice tests - buy the big fat books. They will probably help.

If you have some smart friends, maybe they can tutor you in the areas in which you are weak.
