I have my own tarot cards and I used to read my own cards (When I used to have time). and I think when you go to a psychic, and you want to know a question, they just give you the answers you want to hear, or whatever might be worth your money. But the set I have is more about asking questions to it, and then reading some input to think about your own life (Questions and excerpts to make you think about the situation you ask about or yourself, etc.)

My experience has been that they've been able to give me helpful advice. Tarot cards do not predict the future entirely, but merely a possibility. How the cards present themselves and how the reader interprets them can be a little different than what the spirits may be trying to say. if advice is all you want, then I would recommend a reading. Be careful though, there are a lot of fakes out there. Try asking around for a reputable reader.

I break out the cards whenever I have a question I want to gain understanding of, from a different angle. Very often, the cards tell me something I did not expect. But, they always pan out for me and offer helpful guidance.

For example, when I was laid off from my job last year, I asked "Will I get a job in the next 3 months?". I was expecting to see lots of cards that would either show money or poverty as the answer. What I got instead were lots of cards about cessation and indecision. This was confusing at first, but I took it to mean that I wasn't working as hard as I could at that time to find another job. I was the one cessating and being indecisive, and it hadn't even registered! Well, that kicked my butt in gear and I got back in full gear finding a job. I was employed within the next 2 weeks.

Like I said, they may not provide what you are looking for or what you would expect, but they always help me out when I bring questions perplexing enough that I turn to the cards for assistance.

I had one last year at school during lunch. Some kid, and it's been accurate. I hadn't even thought about it until now. He told me that the man I loved was going to deceive me and that the whole relationship would be ruined and it would end and then I would find the love of my life right after, within a year. Well, my relationship ended in September and the second part hasn't happened yet, but I'm hopeful. Mainly, if you believe, then subconsciously you will make it happen, if you want it to or not.

The straight deck readings I do are very accurate, according to the people I do them for. I write everything down and give them the paper and forget it. I am just reporting what they tell me!

I thought it was accurate. For example, the card depicting my ife was a skeleton hanging from a rope by his neck over a campfire while holding a sword through his own head.
