I didn't ask if there were any of course there are, iasked if it made any sense. Since the Republican agenda is the creation of an aristocratic class, it can only reach its goal at the expence of the working class.

You're absolutely right. Ha. The comparisons are kind of funny.
I don't understand how working-class Republicans don't realize they're shooting themselves in the foot by voting Republican. Republicans don't give a crap about the honest worker; the gap between rich and poor will only continue to widen under Republican watch. There's something wrong when the poor get poorer and the rich get richer.
And, to the previous respondent who says "Republicans believe _everyone_ should have the opportunity to become 'rich'," I'm sorry to remind you that there's only so much money to go around. That means that if some people are "rich," or have a greater share of the limited amount of money, some people, by default, have to be poor. And what's with the greed? - "The money we earn from our paychecks should be OUR money." As though you're entitled to any money at all (it's a man-made concept) or plan to take your hoarded money with you to the grave and be buried with it. Talk about selfishness. In addition, I'm sorry to say that those who make the largest paychecks very rarely "earn" them in the same way that laborers earn their money through physical toil. Lawyers don't deserve one-tenth of the money they "earn." Neither do doctors, rightfully. Neither do pharmaceutical or oil companies, or Wal-Mart or Target CEOs. There's a problem with the definition of "earning" when the people who sacrifice their bodies the most (for important jobs that our society wouldn't function without: farming, cleaning, clothes production) are the least respected and least paid.
And if you think big business is getting taxed the most (as they should be) under Republicans, you're badly mistaken.
And, to the earlier respondent who thinks it's neat to swear instead of articulately explain oneself, you just proved the asker's point while somehow thinking that you didn't. America is obviously not full of aristocrats. _So why are so many fool non-artistocrats voting for a frickin' rich whiney idiot who would rightly be a NOBODY if not for his father?_ Okay. I'll admit they probably identify with Bush's below-average intelligence. Nobody said you had to be smart to be rich.

Republicans have traditionally opposed any form of tax or any form of tax increase. They also oppose minimum wage increases and overtime pay. They refuse to vote for any sort of universal health care. I'm talking about the politicians not ordinary every day working Republicans. They continuously raise their pay at both state and national level. They have free health care. They have free transportation. And all these, "free things," are funded by taxes. And this is only in my state. Can you imagine what is going on in the other 49. At one time the Republican Party was the Party of the common working man. From Lincoln to Teddy Roosevelt the Republican Party fought racism, the giant industrial trusts and illegal working conditions such as child labor and sweat shops. It was the Democrats that supported the trusts and less than ideal woking conditons. Somewhere along the time continuum they switched. However, now it's not easy to tell which party is supporting what issue. Now the problem is partisanship; there is no give and take. Each party is out for its own agenda and there is no longer room for compromise. Everyone looses.

A working class republican. Neither the Democrats nor Republicans represent this group properly, so there are reasons a working class citizen might vote Republican.

The one that makes the most sense is the first, Working Class Republican. This is because there is only a slight chance that a Jewish person doesn't know their haritage. And although Dave Chapell showed that it can happen as a blind black klansman.......... ya that just doesn't happen.

Wrong. Republicans are idealistic. They believe that EVERYONE should have the opportunity to become rich.
A Democrat looks at a rich man and says NOBODY should have that much money.
A Republican looks at a rich man and says EVERYONE should.
Republicans believe (and I agree with them on this one) that our money should be OUR money. I'm willing to help out those in need; so are most Republicans. However, neither they nor I want the government to dictate to them (or me) how much of their (or my) money needs to be deducted from their (or my) check, AND dictate where it goes.
Therefore, BOTH parties are for the "working class." Democrats fight hard to help everyone (even those who don't "deserve" it), while Republicans want to help everyone by letting them keep the money they've earned from their paychecks.
SO to answer your question, there are not only plenty of "working class" Republicans, but it also makes sense.

Are you kidding? George Bush got elected TWICE as president by Republicans. You're telling me more than half the country are aristocrats? If anything it's the opposite, it's all the poor inbred rednecks in the "heartland" that are the republicans. They're the ones who believe in Christian values and the Iraq war, because they're ignorant white trash who are afraid to think for themselves so they relegate that duty to the president and God. And by the way it's "expense" you fuc*ing American idiot.
