i have found out that you can teach oscars to play tug of war and i have a young oscar about 3 inches that i have had for a day. I have done research on oscars but i have never found anything about how to teach them this trick.

You have to attach a small rope to a rock or somewhere in the tank and it might start to nibble on it once and a while. Then it might always do that then you can fight for the rope back!

I have two oscars about 7 inches and I really dont think you could teach them that because the are the garbage cans of the tank what hits the water and it is gonethats the way they eat they do not have teeth they digest their food by the powerful muscles they have in their throat behind their jaws so what goes in their mouth is swalloed quickly
