It has to do with the pitch.

Like you could record one of your farts. Then you could play it back and strike a cord on your piano and see what pitch or key you farted in.

I believe it has to do with the maintanence of your piano.
We could've used a little more info in your question.

Or, was this a set up to show us how smart you are?
