So this xmas i will be alone as i have for the last 5 or 6 years...I would always sleep the day away and be depressed but today i am gonna just go see "the holiday" in theaters today and im pretty happy about that!. I have no family, no CLOSE friends either but acquaintenances for the most part..i don't knwo why i'm writing all this but ummm......merry christmas!!!!
It just feels good for xmas!! or maybe i'm just foolin myself hahaa.

oh wow thank you all so much for your answers...it honestly had me feeling a bit sappy which i suppose i should accept since it is after all the holidays... i just started this yahoo thing and as one had mentioned i feel like i am turning over a new leaf.... it's just good to actually have people to share it with ((as in you all)). I'm glad that it IS okay what i am doing as another person had said on this.. I wish i coudl choose them all as best answers!! :D welll, I'm gonna play wtih my bunny, drink some coco and clean and stuff.. o and i DID see the movie!! it was one of those romantic cheesy flicks...but it had a lot of holiday festivities.... HA I WENT IN MY PJS lol might as well be comfy right??? but yeah thanks for these answers..this yahoo tihng is pretty awesome...i TRY ALOT im bad at connecting with people but thsi is actually a lot easier.... have a merry xmas...and 2007 is just around the corner..i may just be workin the night away but as the ball drops iprom i'll thinkofu

merry xmas to you, too! enjoy the movie and forget about everything else. Regardless of what people say, you don't need close friends or relatives to be happy. These things would be nice, but not having them wouldn't keep me from happiness. There are some activities that are best done with partners, and others you can do alone without anyone knowing your marital status. I know that looking like you're alone doesn't help. Maybe you can find an activity that you can do alone or one that will allow you to meet people. Anyway, have agood time at the movies, have some buttered popcorn and enjoy. Okay?

Hey, Sandra, how are you? Well, I feel the same way.
Today is Christmas. I did not feel like being with my man's family, or anyone for that matter. When anyone ask me "What are you going to do today?" I told them I was going to be someplace and told that person that I did not feel well and did not want to come over. Was it a lie? Well, yes, it was. Because, I did not want to come right out and say "No, I do not feel like celebrating Christmas today. I am depress. And, personally, this year, I do not feel like being around people. I feel like being alone. So, please do not judge me. I would rather be working, but, since I am not and could not work, I choose to be alone. maybe next year will be different for me, but today, I did not feel like celebrating."
This is what I wanted to say to them. But, they are Christians and they would probably want me to talk about my problems and try to hound me to coming over. Nothing wrong with them being Christians and such, but Sandra, I prefer to be alone. You are not fooling yourself.
There are people out there, like you and me, that just do not feel in the holiday mood. Man, I wish I did work today. That would have been great overtime for me.

Im sorry your alone for christmas..I wish I knew what to say... I'm sitting at my computer eating carrot sticks & ceaser... My husband is out of town.. and we didnt even put up a tree this year.. but what the heck it's christmas....

it's a good idea to get out on christamas instead of sleeping away this beautiful day! try to get closer w/ ur "aquaintances". i hate that word. to me a person is either my friend or not. i don't like ranking people in my life. if i'm willing to call them that then y not call them my friend........so .....get closer to someone so next year u can hang out w/ them.
it's a good step to get out of the house....
