The customer is always right. Live it believe it never forget it. If they come in with a attitude about the product, it generally has ties to home. I have been dealing with customers for 15 years or so, and most have had a bad day. They don't have any way to release their anger and are generally ready to go off at a representative. Be patient and don't let them get you down, offer realistic ideas to help and deliver on what you say you are going to do. Don't go out on a limb, but offer what you can do. If you don't know get someone else involved and show the customer that they matter! These are just some ways to help. Good luck and be patient.

Be as nice to them as you can. I know many times you hear that the customer is always right, but that's just no always the case. I have worked retail and a lot of times they were wrong. Many don't read the signs correctly. A sign could say a certain brand of cereal is on sale, but that doesn't mean all the cereal is on sale. If they're really bad ask them if they would like to speak to a manager. Most customers aren't bad at all, but some of them are just nasty.
