Human beings, in general, are bloodthirsty. Human beings, in general, prefer violence to dialogue. Were this not the case, then the history of human civilization would not be so rife with murder and warfare.

I have a question for you though:

What is the cause of the bloodthirstiness of the Arabs who sacked Constantinople? What was the cause of the bloodthirstiness of the Seljuk Turks who conquered Jerusalem in the 11th century and prevented Christian pilgrims from visiting their holy sites?

Or better yet: why do Arabs indulge violence so often in the name of God only to cry like whiney little children when they are subjected to violence in return? Christians didn't start the Crusades, the Seljuk Turks did. Jews did not start the Arab-Israeli wars, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon and Iraq did. Americans did not start the war in Afghanistan, Al-Queda did.

In Iraq, the US was clearly wrong to invade. However, Arabs deserve no sympathy from anyone as they indulge violence as ardently as anyone else. Ultimately, you don't really have a problem with violence. You just have a problem with being on the losing end of a violent conflict.

Fear drives people mad and ignorant -- Which misguides them into thinking and acting only the worst they can possibly imagine.

Ignorance;

Ignorance feeds off of Second Hand Sources that usually tend to be bending the truth or not telling the truth at all -- Basically hiding most of the truth period. (Media for example)

Hate;

Hate for a terrorist, for example, spreads into Hate for the terrorist's words which confuses the brain with the terrorist's religon. Which relates back to ignorance and fear.

Mislead facts;

Websites, Media, Yahoo Answers, Books, Ect. At least every 3 out of every 5 of these things always misguides and misleads people into thinking the false facts and opinions that will usually spread to another open unpeirced mind.

Media;

The Media. A useful, informative, great way to learn new things? Or another false seemingly informative way to drive people into the wrong direction.

For example, the war in the Middle East -- That's all the Media shows, men throwing rocks at soilders, soilders argueing with men, men dancing around fires (?), bombings, ect.

Yet they don't show the good sides of these places, like a group of children playing soccer in an abandoned field, two teenage girls walking down the road in their mandeel's and hijabs laughing together, parents hugging their children as they walk away from the tradgedy and greif that was set upon them.

Because of the size of the USA, most Americans have very little contact with people from other cultures. This causes most Americans to think that we are the only country that matters, ie we get a hugely overblown sense of self.

hmmm, I'm a patriotic American and I'm not condoning all the actions we have taken. I'm not saying that we are always right in what we do but why is it you have not listed the many many things we've done to help the world, only the negative things? Most philanthrapy in the world in helping hunger and sickness is currently coming from the United States. But let's not argue that, since it was not your question.
