Clean from the outside in -don't start organizing the closet if there are already clothes all over the floor of the bedroom. Start by picking up and then sort-put clothes in clothes pile-stuff that goes in the living room in another pile or basket, etc. Then put items in each pile where they belong or toss em out. Just start where your at. Once you pick up, pile and sort the mess won't seem nearly as overwhelming. Then, you can begin to organize stuff. Hope this helps.

Organizing comes with decluttering...Grab three boxes one for keeping one for donations (charity) and one for chuck out. you have to be firm with the decision to get rid of stuff even if it has sentmental value to you (ex great aunt edna gave you a set of six glasses for your wedding 40 years ago and you have never taken them out of the box) Once this is done, buy yourself some storage unit, mayby the organizer boxes that can sit on a shelf and cleary mark what is in them. this works more if you are storing stuff in garages and basements and the likes.

For the home look at drawer and by dividers.

Or if you are talking about how to get organized there is heaps of ways just go to yahoo groups and type in organizaton and it will come up with a list of groups that can help you get organized with your housework and organizational skills.

Good Luck

Once you have done this

Yep! If you have a Container Store in your town, visit it! They have walls full of hangers that will suit anyone's needs! I bought a 5 skirt hanger that hangs down the wall, rather than across it. It saves lots of room! Also, over the door hangers work great for whatever you use them for! I have a slight obsession with wicker baskets because they are functional AND pretty!

bins work well, put on some tunes and go through your things, one room at a time. Do not get rid of something just to make room, you will regret it later. Rearranging a room also helps, if that is possible.
