Well .. you can go January through April like Danny said and rub elbows with everyone else. But I hate the insane crowds .. so I go in the off season.

December 1 through to the end of May. The other time of year is usually ok, if you don't mind the raining season (rains mostly at night - but a lot!).

The most expensive booking time is right now; Christmas up to Jan. 3 or 4th.

Cancun is ok; more like Miami South, FL. I recommend Acapulco (the party city), or Ixtapa (quiet vacation).

I went to Mexico over Thanksgiving break one year and it was in the 70s and 80s the entire time and sunny! I laid out every day I was there though and barely got a tan. So if you want to go there to lay out in the sun I'd go in the fall (Sept/Oct/Nov) when there aren't tons of annoying people there and the weather is still nice. If you go in Jan/Feb it will probably be warm, but not hot. If you go during Spring Break you'll have thousands upon thousands of college students (that's cool if that's your thing) and the weather would probably be perfect. If you go in the summer prepare to be in the pool a lot as it will be hot! Have fun if you go!

I just got back from Acapulco last month and the weather is great! But this time of year there are alot of tourist. The traffic was wild! But I guess it really depends on what part you plan on visiting.
