I am wondering if anyone expericed a break down during Christmas when other have some good times. Since it was three months ex hubby of my friend left her, she would cry. She asked me why she feel like she was the only one who suffered the blues for christmas. everyone reminds her that they love her and that her life will be better in a start of 2007. I wish I could help her but.. She ain't over since Sept 11 after her 63 days of that damntation marriage.

How can I cheer her up by thinking good things.. not depression things

Take her shopping and max out your credit card! I know that would make me fell better! I was depressed for a while after my ex left. But you need to be there for her, at this time of year people give up and just wont to die! They go to bed alone and wake up alone, this is my fourth year alone if it wasn't for work i would be home alone! So stay close to her tell her if she needs anything you are just a phone call away!

Breakups are never joyous and it's worst when most people around you are happy or it may seem like they are happy. WHAT CAN A FRIEND DO BUT JUST BE THERE. Words will go right in one ear and out the other so be of few words and do most of the listening. But be there for her.

If she's been in a long depression and it continues, she should see her doctor about prescribing a med. What you can do is include her in your festivities and spend time with her shopping, movies, lunch, etc.
