is it wrong or weird for junior college kids or college kids overall to still go to high school parties?, even college freshmen?, cause someone told me that & got my pissed off, cause it ruined my weekend, she didn't wanna tell me where it was at

I think it's stupid because I know of & knew of high school kids that went to college parties, so why can't it be the other way around, besides, I didn't get to party in high school, it was mostly because I didn't hang out with the popular people & I went to a ghetto school for 2 & a half years, then the second semester of junior year I went to another school which was still kinda ghetto but not as much, & finally I went to a typical white high school for my senior year, but I lacked something really big, I didn't have my drivers license yet, but now I do, but I still kinda regret not getting it earlier, eventhough I'm in college, in college it's harder for me to make friends since the people are more spread apart, you see different people everyday & people have different schedules, plus I go to a community college, pretty lame huh?

It isn't about right and wrong, on the surface...I guess you might want to think about why you want to go to parties of kids so much younger. The big concern is the issue of "being of age" I think. That is, if you hang out with people younger, you are likely to date younger people...and the age difference is so important right around this time, because of the legal issue statutory rape. Later on in life it matters less.

Take care of yourself!

I don't think it's wrong, nor do I think it's unusual for college freshmen to go to high school parties. What it says is that the person needs to "return to the nest" because they are having a hard time adjusting to their new life in college. My question would be why high school and not college parties. I think there are some fundamental maturity issues here.
The drinking and rape issues raised in other answers also need to be carefully considered.

There is usually something weird with college kids going to a high school dance, but I have to tell you I really don't understand what all the issues are here.

Good Luck!!!

It's weird unless you were specifically invited by the host. Yea you might be just a college freshman but remember, there will be high school freshmen there... and that's just weird.

I would stay away from high schools - it can only lead to trouble. You are a college boy now and the fields are much, much greener for you now. My years at college couldnt even compare to my days at high school. Go have fun..!

If someone had a girl friend or boyfriend of that age group I can see it, but otherwise it is not normal. You should hang with kids your own age.
