I try everything on at stores. Even though it says one size different stores have different cuts and can vary a lot. If you're ordering online it's a good idea to get a measuring tape, take your measurements and look on the website for the stores sizing guide. Which will tell you generally what the measurements for each size is. That way you can take your measurements against their guide and know if you are a small, medium, large, etc. In my experience clothes don't really shrink a lot... I think that's more in our parents days. I think most things are pre-shrunk. But try to only wash in cold and warm usually things only shrink a lot in hot water. Good luck!

You could try on different sizes and see which one fits the best. Also look on the tag for Pre-shrunk, meaning it has already been washed or put through a process in which it has shrunk. Find a shirt that has been pre-shrunk and if it fits then take note of that size and use it in looking for cotton shirts.

I always like guys in a least a little bigger rather than something too small. My advice is go for the large. If it doesn't shrink, you will still look fly!

Go in the store and try it on. If you buy anything cotton, make sure you know that it will shrink after you washing it.

Just go a size bigger. Esp. since it will shrink. And it's not like guys don't wear their clothes baggy.

You are a guy. if its a bit too loose i think its still fine, if its a bit smaller than usual it probably wouldnt be as noticable, as say for a girl.
