I like to go into chat rooms to have decent conversation, and exchange ideas and opinions with new people, but 98% percent of the people I meet in chat rooms, both male and female, are only interested in cyber-sex, and wanting to know my personal information.
I am not comfortable giving that information out, and I want to know why no one has created a special room just for those who are interested in cyber-sex, and that when you go into that room, you know what you're there for, and you have people to talk to who want the same things. Any thoughts?

When you go into a chat room what are you really there for? To interact with other people and to have a good time.
For most people that good time is flirting and sex. And it is non-threatening. Would you as a woman go into a bar and start a conversation with just anyone like you see them do there?
Only women looking for sex would do anything close to that.
But on-line you can flirt all you want and still be safe.
If you can't find a room that is not sex start one of your own. Of course no matter how intellectual you are you still have to have other intellectuals come in or your right back where you don't want to be.

There are many other chat rooms and forums for hobbies, political, religions, parenting, games, computer, health, etc...look up AOL rooms, MSN groups, Yahoo groups....avoid dating sites...such as Craiglist.
Try putting your interest into a google search....
Or put your forum need into any search engine.
That is what I did.
I located my health needs, made several good friends that are online same sex/similar interests. If you look you can find something right.
I had a cybersex relationship and it was at times strange. But, I liked it for my needs at a particular time in my life. I would always prefer a live person. I feel sorry for those that love it.
Hopefully you will find something to make some friends to chat with.

I know what you mean. All I wanted was a few foreign penpals and the site clearly stated it was not for "dating" or "love connections" but that didn't stop some of the men. I've had friends who have tried cybersex to say they either get bored or sick of it very quickly, except for the sick losers who are retarded socially or totally hard up. There should be special areas for that kind of thing and abusers should be kicked out of the normal sites.

Cyber sex is addictive because the mind is the biggest sex organ. Sex startes in the mind as a idea that turns the rest of your body on. Another reason why it is so big is because of the fantasy....you could be the nastiest ugliest, fattest, bald-headed woman in town , but online you are an hourglass shaped,blonde goddess having mind-sex with some of the world's finest men DAILY.No one judges anyone online...everyone is perfect in the land of sunshine!

Yeah, it's frustrating. I don't chat much since I met my husband online 10 years ago...But when I tried that was about all that was out there.. kind of sad.
