I have sold an item on Ebay but I have not received an email from Paypal..?

On the page Ebay says that the buyer has paid but I did not get an email and no money has hit my account. I am confused.

check on my ebay page,don't trust any emails in your email account unless you see it on paypal's page or my ebay's page.
never respond to an email in your email,always double check on ebay's page to make sure payment has been made.
It could be that the buyer paid by check and it takes 3 days for it to clear,or ebay's computers might be running a little slow today.
The post office is closed today anyway ,so wait until tomorrow to check to see if payment has been made.
The buyer could have also marked payment being made on his end,and just wrote a money order or a check and dropped it in the mail,that is also possible,but until you see payment being credited to your account,there is no need to make shipment until payment is verified on your end.
